April 18/19
Third Sunday of Easter
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      Jesus was made known in the breaking of the bread. Our minds and hearts are opened as we pray.


1. For the Church: that the Spirit will open our minds so that we may understand the Good News and share the message of hope with all who are searching

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For all who are called to preach the Word of God: that they will grow in their love of God and announce the Good News with conviction and courage
We pray to the Lord

3. For the leaders of nations: that the Spirit will inspire and guide their efforts to find peaceful and lasting resolution to the nuclear challenges of today
We pray to the Lord

4. For all who are seeking employment: that God will strengthen their resolve and help them not to lose hope
We pray to the Lord

5. For those gathered here today: that our eyes may be opened to Christ's presence and action in our lives and our relationships
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for

PRESIDER     God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, hear us as stewards of these Easter mysteries. We offer these prayers in the name of Jesus, our risen Lord. Amen.


April 11/12

Second Sunday of Easter
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER     We have not seen but still believe. With confident faith we bring our concerns before God.


1. For the Church: that we find in the resurrected Christ both the way to God and God's life giving presence with us

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For the leaders of nations: that the Spirit will inspire and guide their efforts to find peaceful and lasting resolution to the nuclear challenges of today.
We pray to the Lord

3. For all the newly baptized: that their faith may continue to grow and that their desire to offer loving service to those in need may never waver
We pray to the Lord

4. For the grace of reconciliation: that we may be instruments of forgiveness and reconciliation, and be open to God's forgiveness in our lives
We pray to the Lord

5. For all assembled this day: that we may see how to share our time, energy, and resources to relieve the suffering and burdens of others
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for

PRESIDER     Generous God, plant your precious gift of faith ever deeper in our hearts. All that we ask, we ask in the name of Jesus, our Risen Lord. Amen.


April 5
Easter Sunday
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      Jesus is risen as he said, alleluia. In firm faith, we place our concerns before God as Jesus did


1. For the Church: that we may radiate the light and life of Christ each day and confidently live as daughters and sons of God

We pray

Please respond: "Risen Christ, Hear our Prayer"

2. For peace throughout the world: that the Risen Lord will inspire all leaders to try new ways to work for peace.
We pray

3. For all the newly baptized: that they may faithfully follow Jesus and keep the light of Christ burning brightly in their lives
We pray

4. For all who are away from home this Easter, particularly members of the military: that God will protect and guide them, and bring them home safely
We pray

5. For all gathered in prayer this day: may we continue to grow in God's life and bring God's presence to all in our lives
We pray

6.   FOR ALL PARISHIONERS LIVING AND DECEASED AND FOR THE INTENTIONS OF THE EASTER FLOWER DONORS

We pray

PRESIDER     Glorious God, you raised your Son from the dead. Raise us up and hear our prayer in the name of our Risen Savior, Christ the Lord. Amen.


March 28/29
Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      We offer to God our concerns for the Church and the world with the humility Jesus showed in his life and death.


1. For the Church: that we may commend our lives to God each day and be renewed in spirit by God's faithful presence

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For civic leaders: that the Spirit will give them the wisdom and courage to protect human life.
We pray to the Lord

3. For all who are preparing to celebrate the Easter sacraments, that they may enter more deeply into the mystery of God's unconditional love through the celebrations of Holy Week
We pray to the Lord

4. For peace: that God will open new ways to resolve conflicts, bring an end to the violence in the Middle East, and bring all members of the military home safely
We pray to the Lord

5. For those who suffer in mind, body or spirit, that God will bring them relief and healing
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for
