Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      We offer to God our concerns for the Church and the world with the humility Jesus showed in his life and death.


1. For the Church: that we may commend our lives to God each day and be renewed in spirit by God's faithful presence

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For civic leaders: that the Spirit will give them the wisdom and courage to protect human life.
We pray to the Lord

3. For all who are preparing to celebrate the Easter sacraments, that they may enter more deeply into the mystery of God's unconditional love through the celebrations of Holy Week
We pray to the Lord

4. For peace: that God will open new ways to resolve conflicts, bring an end to the violence in the Middle East, and bring all members of the military home safely
We pray to the Lord

5. For those who suffer in mind, body or spirit, that God will bring them relief and healing
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for

Fifth Sunday of Lent
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      Confident that God will hear us, we offer our prayers for the Church and the world.


1. For the Church: that we may embrace the paschal mystery and allow God to bring us through the little deaths of life and raise us up to new and fresh beginnings

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For world leaders: that God will help all world leaders to see the value and dignity of human life and work tirelessly for peace
We pray to the Lord

3. For those priests sisters and brothers who inspire and strengthen us by the witness of their commitment,
We pray to the Lord

4. For our families: that they may grow in faith, hope, and love during this Lenten season
We pray to the Lord

5. For those preparing for baptism into the Church this Easter
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for

Fourth Sunday of Lent
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL
PRESIDER      We are the work of God's hands; in quiet trust, we present the needs of our Church and world


1. For the Church: that we will grow in our awareness of the length, breadth, and depth of God's love for us

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For all who are refugees or who have been exiled: that God will be with them in their new environment and end the hostilities so they may return to their homeland
We pray to the Lord

3. For all who serve in the military and in humanitarian relief: that God will strengthen them in their efforts, and bring them home safely
We pray to the Lord

4. For all who are preparing for sacraments: that our words and deeds will give witness to them of God's forgiveness.
We pray to the Lord

5. For our parish family: that God will fill our hearts with hope, and help us to walk in God's ways
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for

Second Sunday of Lent
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      God reveals to us the paths of righteousness. With confident hearts, we bring to God our prayers.


1. For the Church: that we may grow in our awareness of our dignity as temples of the Holy Spirit

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For the President and the members of Congress: that God will inspire them to develop policies that promote the common good
We pray to the Lord

3. For an end to bloodshed and violence, particularly for those confronted by ISIS
We pray to the Lord

4. For our Jewish brothers and sisters: that God will strengthen their faith and renew their spirits
We pray to the Lord

5. For our parish family: that we may live the great commandment, loving God with all our heart and soul and our neighbor as ourselves
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for
