The 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      As Jesus taught us, we come to God with Confidence, bringing our concerns for the Church and the world


1. For the Church: that we would show our love for God through our love and concerns for others.

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For government leaders: that God will guide them in confronting the evils and challenges of our day, especially those faced by the weak, powerless and vulnerable
We pray to the Lord

3. For the growth of peace, particularly in the Mid-East: that God will touch the hearts of leaders, and help them find new ways to resolve disputes non-violently
We pray to the Lord

4. For all who care for the sick: that God will strengthen and guide them as they seek to be instruments of God's healing love
We pray to the Lord

5. For our Parish Family: that we may love God with all our heart, soul, and mind and love our neighbors as ourselves
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for

PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL
PRESIDER      We bring our prayers to God, who hears the cry of the poor


1. For the Church: that we may manifest each day the work of faith, the labor of love, and the endurance of hope that is ours as God's people

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For civic leaders in places of unrest: that they may recognize the dignity of each person and work to establish just policies in their communities
We pray to the Lord

3. For all who serve our nation: that God will watch over them, preserve them from harm and bring them safely home
We pray to the Lord

4. For all who are working to curtail the Ebola virus epidemic: that God will inspire their actions to promote health and safety for all people and give them strength to continue their efforts
We pray to the Lord

5. For our Parish Community: that we may recognize all our gifts from God and use them in the service of God We pray to the Lord 6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for

The 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      Confidently we offer our concerns to our compassionate God.


1. For the Church: that we may each recognize the invitation to life that comes each day and respond with dedication and commitment

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For Peace: that God will give courage to all who are working for peace and open hearts to new opportunities to resolve differences
We pray to the Lord

3. For all who received the sacrament of Confirmation this weekend: that they will be open to all the gifts of the Holy Spirit and enrich the church with their talents and energy.

4. For the fallen Firefighter in Hartford and his family: may they find comfort and peace in the Divine Savior,

5. For our Parish Community: that we may welcome and offer hospitality to all who enter our doors.

The 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      Saint Paul instructs us to present our needs to God in petitions full of gratitude.


1. For the Church: that we may be a fruitful garden, producing a harvest rich in compassion, mercy, justice and forgiveness

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For all religious leaders: that they may faithfully imitate the Good Shepherd and guide closer to God all who are entrusted to their care.
We pray to the Lord

3. For a greater respect for human life, particularly for the unborn: that God will open all hearts to the beauty of this precious gift.

4. For all who are struggling financially: that God will calm their fears and guide them to new opportunities to peace and stability
We pray to the Lord

5. In the spirit of St. Francis: that we may be ever better stewards of all the gifts of God's creations.
