The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      Firm in the hope of the resurrection, we pray for the living and the dead.


1. For the Church: that we may grow in our confidence that whether we live or we die, we belong to God
We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For all who minister to those approaching death and to those grieving the death of a loved one: that the Spirit will work through them to bring hope and peace
We pray to the Lord

3. For all who are persecuted or who face death for following Jesus: that God will give them courage and make fruitful their witness to the Gospel
We pray to the Lord

4. For the victims and families of Washington School Shooting, may they find comfort and peace in the Divine Savior.
We pray to the Lord

5. For men and women to be open to God's call to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ as priests, deacons or consecrated persons.
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially those whose names are inscribed in our Book of Remembrance, and for

All Saints Day
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      As the saints intercede for us in heaven, so do we pray for the needs of the Church of the world.


1. For the Church: that we may learn to love God and others so that the reign of God may draw near.

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. That following the example of the saints, the spiritual leaders of the Church may seek God's kingdom above everything else, and be inspiring witnesses of a holy life.
We pray to the Lord

3. For peace on earth, that those in authority may follow the example of the saints who worked for peace and love,
We pray to the Lord

4. For all who are in need; that God will open our eyes and hearts to their needs and their presence in our communities.
We pray to the Lord

5. For this faith community: that the Lord's presence will make us a source of spiritual joy for each other,
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially, for those whose names are inscribed in our Book of Remembrance
We pray to the Lord

7. For the Intentions of Doris DeBonee, whom we remember in a special way at this Mass,

The 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      As Jesus taught us, we come to God with Confidence, bringing our concerns for the Church and the world


1. For the Church: that we would show our love for God through our love and concerns for others.

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For government leaders: that God will guide them in confronting the evils and challenges of our day, especially those faced by the weak, powerless and vulnerable
We pray to the Lord

3. For the growth of peace, particularly in the Mid-East: that God will touch the hearts of leaders, and help them find new ways to resolve disputes non-violently
We pray to the Lord

4. For all who care for the sick: that God will strengthen and guide them as they seek to be instruments of God's healing love
We pray to the Lord

5. For our Parish Family: that we may love God with all our heart, soul, and mind and love our neighbors as ourselves
We pray to the Lord

PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL
PRESIDER      We bring our prayers to God, who hears the cry of the poor


1. For the Church: that we may manifest each day the work of faith, the labor of love, and the endurance of hope that is ours as God's people

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For civic leaders in places of unrest: that they may recognize the dignity of each person and work to establish just policies in their communities
We pray to the Lord

3. For all who serve our nation: that God will watch over them, preserve them from harm and bring them safely home
We pray to the Lord

4. For all who are working to curtail the Ebola virus epidemic: that God will inspire their actions to promote health and safety for all people and give them strength to continue their efforts
We pray to the Lord
