The Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      We know that God can do what we cannot. Therefore, we offer our petitions for our brothers and sisters.


1. For the Church: that the Spirit of God will empower us to boldly announce the truth and reveal the weaknesses of popular attitudes

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For Father Marcin: that God will fill him with strength and guide him in his ministry to the People of St. Bartholomew and St. Bridget and that we may affirm, support, and celebrate his gift of service to us,
We pray to the Lord

3. For these United States: that God will guide us in achieving the ideals on which this nation was founded: respect for life, maintenance of liberty, and establishment of justice for all
We pray to the Lord

4. For all who are traveling this summer: that their journeys will be safe and their time away renewing and refreshing
We pray to the Lord

5. For our parish community: that God will free us from our mistakes and failures, and help us to start again through God's love and power working within us
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for

June 27/28
The Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      We come to God with our concerns, confident that our petitions will be heard.


1. For the Church: that we may be open to the immense generosity of God's love and compassion for us, and pass it along to others who are searching and yearning for life

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For openness of heart: that all may receive Pope Francis' encyclical on the environment with openness of mind and a concern for the common good
We pray to the Lord

3. For all who have died by violence, particularly those in the church shooting in South Carolina: that God will turn hearts from violence and help everyone to come to a new appreciation of human life
We pray to the Lord

4. For all who are ill, particularly children: that God's gift of life may be renewed within them and that they may be restored to health and wholeness
We pray to the Lord

5. For our parish community: that we may trust God's love and care for us as we face challenges in our lives and remain faithful in our discipleship and loyal to our commitments
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for

The 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      God can do all things and eagerly wishes to answer our prayers.


1. For the Church: that by God's grace, we may no longer live for ourselves but for Christ

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For Father Stephen: in gratitude for the support, love and his gift of service to our parish family these past six years. And that God will fill him with strength and guide him in his ministry to the People of St. George Church.
We pray to the Lord

3. For all Fathers and for those who have guided and supported us with a Father's love,
We pray to the Lord

4. For all children: that they may have a safe and restful summer and be safeguarded from all harm,
We pray to the Lord

5. For members of our parish family: that we may recognize God's presence and action in our lives.
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for

PRESIDER     God of the universe, you open your hand and fill all things with your blessing. Grant us faith enough to trust you and love enough to do your will. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.


June 13/14
The 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time
PETITIONS AND PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER      Let us call upon God, our hope and our strength, and rejoice in the faith that draws us together.


1. For the Church: that the seed of faith planted in the heart of each believer may grow into a bountiful manifestation of God's reign in the world

We pray to the Lord

LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER

2. For all who share in the ministry of the priesthood: that their lives will manifest God's love to all and their service help people to experience communion with God and others
We pray to the Lord

3. For all who are graduating from High School: that God will guide them as they enter adulthood, help their faith to mature and inspire them to use their gifts for the good of others
We pray to the Lord

4. For a bountiful harvest: that God will grant growth to crops this season and seasonable weather so that all may be nourished and sustained by God's gifts
We pray to the Lord

5. For our parish community: that the Word of God will nourish and enrich us as we strive to be true disciples of Jesus
We pray to the Lord

6. For all our relatives and friends who have died, especially for
